Gatehouse Spa is the creation of the special mother and daughter team of Dr. Shirley Northrup and Yvonne Pellerin RMT. Multi-faceted, visionaries, entrepreneurs, highly professional, and family-oriented, both these women are well educated in their respective fields of expertise. Dr. Shirley Northrup’s many qualifications include a B.Med. from UNB and a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology and Complimentary and Alternative Medical Therapies from Delphi University of Georgia, USA. She heads the Gatehouse Healing Centre as a spiritual wellness component to Gatehouse Spa, which is headed by Yvonne Pellerin who holds a national recognized diploma (3000-hour course) as a Registered Massage Therapist. Also certified in aesthetics, aromatherapy reflexology, and foot care, Yvonne’s expertise makes for a well-rounded approach to an integration of services with Gatehouse Healing Centre. Together these two exceptional women display a passion for their craft, a constant drive to seek knowledge, and a true satisfaction that comes from helping others discover the secrets of life hidden within themselves.

Founded in 2005, Yvonne chose the Town of Shediac for the Gatehouse Spa in order to serve the community. "My father hailed from Shediac and although I have travelled widely, I have always been drawn to this place. With the nearest spa facilities as far afield as Memramcook and Moncton, I felt that Shediac needed the services of a Full Day Spa.
