Sarah de Niverville ~ Violinist

Meet Sarah de Niverville! This lovely Riverview teenager is a violinist extraordinaire! With a true passion for music, Sarah will be sharing her talents with folks at the Marché Moncton Market on Saturday, June 30th. Look for her in the Festival Hall between 9 AM and 11 AM where she will thrill you with light classical and popular melody pieces. Her guest appearance is a fund-raising event for the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra’s trip to China.

Sarah attends Riverview High School where she is in grade 11. In the 3rd year of membership with the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra, she plays in the First Violin Section. With a true passion for music, Sarah plans to attend Dalhousie University to study classical violin and to that end she is currently studying the violin under Isabel Fournier who conducts classes at Université de Moncton once a week. On Monday evenings, Sarah even teaches violin at the Metro Moncton School of Music – all year round! She is also a member of the trio La Musica Dolce which consists of the violin, the flute, and the cello. Look for the trio’s performance at the Marché Moncton Market on August 18th.

A solid all-round student, Sarah has many other interests. She loves to read and to write in her journal. She is an excellent student in science and math, but her first love is music. In fact, she is available to play at weddings and receptions both solo and with her trio, La Musica Dolce. Sarah also recently won the Royal Commendation Award at her school for grade 11 French Immersion in Modern History. Of course, when Sarah is not playing music or studying, she loves to do what all teenagers do – hang out with her friends! Sarah de Niverville – she is certainly one of Riverview’s rising stars. Mmm, doggie treats so delightful and delicious, even people can eat them! That’s what Idgie-Lou’s Pawtisserie is all about – pet treats that are healthy and made from quality ingredients including many organic components. Free of harmful chemicals and preservatives, these wonderful treats are all made from scratch by entrepreneur Allie of Riverview, NB. A busy mom of two school-aged boys, Allie finds time to create these unusual and tempting treats which can be found Saturdays at the Marché Moncton Market in downtown Moncton.

This small home-based business was inspired by Allie’s 14-year-old dog, Indie-Lou, who acts as taste-tester and quality controller extraordinaire! Allie and Idgie-Lou are well-travelled. Originally from New Brunswick, the pair travelled to BC over a decade ago where Allie found a job in the retail pet industry managing several outlets of a retail pet chain. Also a professional dog walker and pet sitter, Allie ventured into the pet treat business working in a "pet bakery" – the first of its kind in Canada. Now, armed with courses in "dog pastry" Allie has returned to the Maritimes, forging a niche for herself as an expert dog treat creator. She has lots of fun making treats for her canine customers and has turned her passion and her hobby into a lucrative career. At present, her exceptional doggie treats can be purchased at J’s Pet Feed & Needs with plans to add more retail outlets to her repertoire.

For more information, contact Allie at idgie-lous@hotmail.com, call 854-4504, or visit the market where you’ll find well-packaged dog biscuits with a shelf life of up to 4 months in a variety of great shapes that are a departure from the usual bone-shaped treats – hence the motto, "bones are boring."
