Taylormade Pine Furniture
Taylormade Pine Furniture has been a part of the local farmers market scene since 1996. Don and Irene Taylor of the Petitcodiac/Havelock area can be found weekly at the Marché Moncton Market where their display of fine quality handmade pine furniture and accessories offers an impressive showcase of custom work artfully designed, expertly built and carefully finished with every attention to detail. "I am a self-taught furniture builder," says Don Taylor, "and I design all my pieces myself. Of course, on custom work, I consult with customers to include the features they desire."
An impressive inventory of furniture pieces by Don includes wonderful children’s furniture such as tables and chairs, rockers, and cradles well-finished with rounded edges; elegant magazine and hall tables; well-crafted dressers and armoires; headboards in various designs and sizes including single, double, queen, and king; night stands, and hope chests; and deacon’s benches and shelves of various sizes. Smaller accessory pieces include bread boxes, paper towel holders, quilt racks, and potato bins. All finished in protective lacquers, Don’s creations are all fitted with the appropriate hardware such as decorative draw pulls and steel sliders on drawers for a smooth gliding operation.

"My furniture is well-priced to be affordable," says Don, "and I am often booked weeks in advance of occasions like Christmas." In this world, of retail hubbub, it is certainly refreshing to deal with a master craftsman who can create just the right piece of furniture to enhance your home. For more information on Don’s furniture, contact him at (506) 756-3688, or drop in at the market on Saturday’s where you will find pieces of furniture that are destined to become heirlooms for generations to come!
