Idgie-Lou's Pawtisserie
Mmm, doggie treats so delightful and delicious, even people can eat them! That’s what Idgie-Lou’s Pawtisserie is all about – pet treats that are healthy and made from quality ingredients including many organic components. Free of harmful chemicals and preservatives, these wonderful treats are all made from scratch by entrepreneur Allie of Riverview, NB. A busy mom of two school-aged boys, Allie finds time to create these unusual and tempting treats which can be found Saturdays at the Marché Moncton Market in downtown Moncton.
This small home-based business was inspired by Allie’s 14-year-old dog, Indie-Lou, who acts as taste-tester and quality controller extraordinaire! Allie and Idgie-Lou are well-travelled. Originally from New Brunswick, the pair travelled to BC over a decade ago where Allie found a job in the retail pet industry managing several outlets of a retail pet chain. Also a professional dog walker and pet sitter, Allie ventured into the pet treat business working in a "pet bakery" – the first of its kind in Canada. Now, armed with courses in "dog pastry" Allie has returned to the Maritimes, forging a niche for herself as an expert dog treat creator. She has lots of fun making treats for her canine customers and has turned her passion and her hobby into a lucrative career. At present, her exceptional doggie treats can be purchased at J’s Pet Feed & Needs with plans to add more retail outlets to her repertoire. For more information, contact Allie at idgie-lous@hotmail.com, call 854-4504, or visit the market where you’ll find well-packaged dog biscuits with a shelf life of up to 4 months in a variety of great shapes that are a departure from the usual bone-shaped treats – hence the motto, "bones are boring." Looking for a healthy and delicious treat for your canine companion? Pick up some Idgie-Lou specials today – they’re pawsitively pleasing!
