New Year's Greetings!

Happy New Year to all market-goers! 2007 promises to be a banner year for area farmers markets as our three communities of Riverview, Moncton, and Dieppe continue to prosper and thrive. A steady growth in both the business and residential sections of these communities have been the driving force behind increased activity amongst vendors and patrons at the local market level. The Dieppe Farmers Market, nestled in the heart of the vibrant new downtown complex, continues to attract scores of attendees each Saturday, and the Marché Moncton Market, with a history dating back almost 100 years, continues to forge ahead into a bright future. With a "welcome back" to vendors once separated into the Farmers Market Co-op a few years ago, this long-awaited reunion and amalgamation of these hitherto sparring entities now offers greater variety to patrons, equal opportunity to vendors, and a competitive market atmosphere in one of the area’s most successful market venues. Area residents can look forward to a new year of wonderful goods, friendly folk, and a community spirit that is unique to our local farmers markets.
