Photography by Nick Gaines

Nick Gaines is a photographer with the eye of an artist and the heart of a lover of nature. His booth at Marché Moncton Market is a mini gallery of compelling photos of some of the natural worlds most feared but beautiful animals – namely the black bear and the tiger cat – subjects Nick has sought out at area zoos and ones he has approached with the utmost respect and admiration. Using film as his medium and the camera lens as a tool, Nick captures the quiet majesty of nature in all its magical incarnations. Beautifully matted and framed, his work is a testament to his love of photography and of his ambition to be an artist of worth.
Nick’s early introduction to the art of photography grew out of the influence of his grandfather’s association with Moncton photographer Tom Barnes. With a vision all his own and a drive to succeed, Nick’s contribution to the area’s photographic landscape as an up and coming new artist is undeniable! Visit Nick at the market on Saturdays and take advantage of his expertise in film as a gift for yourself or for family and friends. Want to know more about Nick? Check out his website at http://www.nick-gaines-photography.piczo.com/ or call him at 860-0641 and treat yourself to a work of art from one of our area’s finest young artists!
